Just minutes from Leawood and within the highly-regarded Blue Valley School District, our neighborhood offers suburban tranquility with urban accessibility. Tree-lined streets, distinctive architecture, private street lights, and our private park make Harwycke more than just a neighborhood—it's a place to call home.

Throughout Harwycke, you'll discover majestic lions and graceful swans prominently featured in the hand-carved brickwork at our entrances and monuments. These iconic symbols—represented in our logo—reflect the strength, elegance, and timeless character that define our community.

Our History

Harwycke was established in 1987 when Harwycke Development Ventures created this thoughtfully planned residential community. The original Declaration was recorded with the Johnson County Register of Deeds on April 10, 1987, laying the foundation for a neighborhood built on quality, consistency, and community pride.

The community originally boasted over 12 different water features—a testament to the vision and ambition of our founders.

Over time, some of those features required updates for long-term sustainability. Recent investments have focused on restoring the entrance fountains in addition to the main pond and smaller adjoining water features, honoring our community's original character.

Our community has grown through multiple phases—the original plat, Harwycke Second Plat, and Harwycke Third Plat—each maintaining the architectural standards and natural beauty that define our neighborhood. The Harwycke Homes Association was formed as a not-for-profit corporation to preserve and enhance the values, desirability, and attractiveness of our community for generations to come.
